our puppy start kit is built for new puppy owners / first time dog owners to help set you and your new pup up for success and ensure your new furry friend gets off to a great start! From puppy essentials to early development training and socializing, Our puppy starter kit can be perfectly catered around your schedule and lifestyle and ensure you and your pup are set to build nothing but great everlasting memories together!
puppy starter kit is a 5 week program where we will meet once a week at either your home, top dawg training facility, local parks, or dog friendly stores.
the Following is what you and your puppy will learn in your puppy start kit:
Essential Items
1. High-Quality Puppy Food: suggestions on high-quality puppy food suitable for the breed and size. as well as schedule for best times to feed and amounts.
2. Food and Water Bowls: suggestions on Durable and easy-to-clean bowls for food and water.
3. Collar and Leash: suggestions on An adjustable collar and a sturdy leash.
4. Crate: suggestions on A properly sized crate for training and safe confinement.
5. Bedding: suggestions A comfortable and washable bed or blanket for the crate.
6. Puppy Pads…?: we don’t typically recommend puppy pads, however we understand every owner will have different lifestyles and needs for housebreaking, we will suggest other forms of materials to help potty training, whichever the owner chooses to use we will gladly use.
7. Toys: suggestions on A variety of toys for chewing, playing, and mental stimulation.
8. Grooming Supplies: suggestions on A brush or comb appropriate for the puppy’s coat type, and possibly puppy shampoo/nail trimmer.
Training and Care
1. Training Treats: Small, soft treats for positive reinforcement during training sessions.
2. Training Clicker: A clicker to aid in training (if using clicker training methods).
3. Poop Bags: Biodegradable poop bags for waste disposal during walks.
4. Puppy Training Guide: A booklet or handout with basic training tips and guidelines, and our aid to ensure owners are doing it correctly.
Health and Wellness
1. Flea and Tick Prevention: information on flea and tick prevention medication.
2. Veterinary Information: Contact details for a recommended local veterinarian and information about the puppy’s initial vaccinations and health checks.
3. Health Records: A folder to keep track of vaccinations, deworming, and vet visits.
Socialization and Behavior
1. Puppy Socialization Checklist: A list of experiences and environments to expose the puppy to during their critical socialization period.
2. Behavioral Guide: tips on common puppy behaviors such as biting, chewing, barking, breed specific habits and how to manage them.

2. Discounted price on group classes: Our group classes are a great way to keep up with your dogs training and proper socializing around other well behaved dogs.
What about price?
typically price will remain the same for all breeds, the only reason pricing will vary is if
1. you are located more then 4o miles out of our facility
2. weather or not you want us to provide the essentials or you buy them yourself.
if those do not apply to you then your price will be

Schedule

Day 1 we will review everything needed to begin our training, review of your puppy and breed needs, and review puppy’s area.

Review everthing learned on day 1 to assure there are no confusions and follow up on how puppy is doing. after we will begin intro to basic obedience, day 3 we will review training progress and proceed to next steps of obedience training
